Crisis & emergency resources

If you need help right now.

Haven's website, email, voicemail, and portal are not monitored for emergencies. The resources below are available 24/7, every day of the year.

If you are in immediate danger

Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. If it is safe to do so, stay with someone or ask someone to stay with you until help arrives.

If you are in emotional crisis or thinking about suicide

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org. Free, confidential, 24/7. Veterans can press 1 after calling.
  • Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741 to reach a trained crisis counselor by text.

Outside the United States

Contact your local emergency services. International crisis lines are listed at findahelpline.com.

What Haven can and cannot monitor

This website, ordinary email, voicemail, and the client portal are not monitored for emergencies, and messages may not be seen until the next business day. For current DBT clients, between-session phone coaching supports using skills in difficult moments—it is not emergency coverage and is not always immediately available.

If it is not an emergency

When you are safe but concerned about how you are doing, a free 15-minute consultation is a reasonable next step. If a higher level of care—such as an intensive outpatient program, partial hospitalization, or inpatient stabilization—may be a better fit, Haven says so directly and helps with referrals.
